Faces of Freedom Exhibit on Ending Child Labor Showcased at Duke Chapel

Washington, DC - Through February 24, Duke Chapel is hosting GoodWeave’s nationally touring Faces of Freedom photography exhibit. The collection of photographs, taken by acclaimed documentary photographer U. Roberto Romano in South Asia, depicts both the horrors of child labor and the hopeful faces of children GoodWeave has saved from the looms.

GoodWeave’s One in a Million Campaign Debuts at Atlanta Rug Show

Washington, DC - In January 2011, GoodWeave USA unveils One in a Million, the nonprofit’s new campaign to bring attention to its market-based solution to end child labor in the handmade rug industry. The One in a Million campaign seeks to capture a 6% market share for certified rugs in 2011, with the ultimate goal of reaching the tipping point to end child labor by 2018.
