Children's Stories

Anil comes from a large family with loving parents in a remote corner of the Makawanpur district in Nepal. Unable to support his seven children, Anil’s father removed his son from second grade and hired a carpet broker to take him to Kathmandu to find work at a carpet factory.

Spotlight On Importers/Designers

Salman Khan and Kerry Smith

In 2001, while working and studying in Kathmandu, Salman Khan and Kerry Smith envisioned an approach to carpet-making based on the desire of customers for freedom of expression in designing their living and working environments.
